Printer Setup Guide
Every way to connect a receipt printer to Dinezo, for Windows and Android.

Before you start
In Dinezo, go to Settings → Printer. This one screen handles everything: pick a connection type, choose or find your printer, set the paper width, and send a test print — all in the same place, on both Windows and Android.
Windows setup
Option 1: Use your Windows printer (recommended)
The simplest and most reliable option on Windows. If your printer is already set up in Windows — check Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners — Dinezo can print to it directly through the Windows print spooler. Most USB thermal printers install themselves here automatically the moment you plug them in.
In Dinezo, select the Windows Printer connection type (marked Recommended), then pick your printer from the list of printers already installed in Windows.
Option 2: USB / Serial
For thermal printers that connect as a raw serial (COM) port rather than through a full Windows driver. Select USB / Serial and choose the port from the auto-detected list, or use Add port manually and type the port name (for example COM3) if it isn't detected automatically.
Option 3: Network (LAN or WiFi)
Connect the printer to the same network as this computer, then select Network (ESC/POS). Dinezo scans the network on port 9100 (the standard raw-printing port) and lists what it finds under Discovered on network — tap Refresh if your printer doesn't show up right away. You can also type its IP address in directly, e.g. 192.168.1.50.
Advanced: Epson ePOS-Print
If you have an Epson receipt printer that speaks Epson's ePOS-Print protocol, select Epson ePOS and enter its IP address. Most people won't need this — the Network option above already covers the vast majority of thermal printers.
Android setup
Bluetooth thermal printer
Pair the printer first in your Android device's own Bluetooth settings — Dinezo only lists printers you've already paired at the system level, it doesn't pair new devices itself. Once paired, select Bluetooth in Dinezo and choose it from the paired-devices list.
Network (LAN or WiFi)
Works the same way as on Windows: connect the printer and your Android device to the same WiFi network, select Network (ESC/POS), and either pick it from the discovered list or enter its IP address manually.
Paper width and test print
Whichever connection you use, set the correct paper width for your printer — 80mm (Standard, the common size) or 58mm (Compact). Getting this wrong is the most common cause of cut-off or misaligned receipts. Once connected, use Test Print to send a short confirmation printout before relying on it for real orders.
Optional features can be turned on per printer too — automatically opening a cash drawer, and printing barcodes, QR codes, or your restaurant's logo on receipts, if your printer and paper support them.
Troubleshooting
Printer not showing up in the list
For the Windows Printer option, confirm it's installed in Windows itself first (Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners) — Dinezo only lists printers Windows already knows about. For Bluetooth, confirm it's paired in your device's system Bluetooth settings. For Network, confirm the printer and your device are on the same WiFi network, then tap Refresh.
Receipt text is cut off or misaligned
This almost always means the paper width is set wrong — confirm the printer profile matches your actual paper roll (58mm or 80mm).
Connection keeps dropping
Move the printer closer to the router (for network/WiFi) or the device (for Bluetooth), and check the printer still has power. A printer that connects but disconnects repeatedly is almost always a range or power issue rather than a Dinezo setting.
