Getting Started with Dinezo

Everything you need to go from a fresh install to your first completed order.

1. Create your account

Sign up with your phone number and email. Your phone number is required — it's how your account is verified and how staff or support can reach you. Your business helpline number (shown on receipts) is optional and defaults to your phone number if left blank.

We'll send a one-time verification code by WhatsApp or email. Enter it to confirm your account and start your 7-day free trial — full access, no credit card required.

2. Set up your business profile

Fill in your business details from Settings → Business Details:

  • Business name and address
  • GSTIN, if you're GST-registered (optional, but recommended for compliant receipts)
  • FSSAI license number (optional — printed on receipts if entered)
  • A business logo — stored on this device and printed on receipts and PDF invoices
Your logo stays local to the device it was added on — it isn't synced to other devices or to our servers. Add it separately on each device you print from.

3. Build your menu

Go to Menu and create categories (Starters, Main Course, Beverages, and so on), then add items with prices under each. Menu items are unlimited on every plan, including the free tier — there's no reason to trim your menu down to fit a limit.

For a faster setup, download the sample menu import sheet from the Resources page, fill it in, and import it in one go instead of adding items one at a time.

4. Set up your tables

If you run dine-in service, add your tables under Tables. Each table shows as free, occupied, or reserved on the floor dashboard, so your front-of-house always knows what needs attention at a glance.

5. Connect a printer

Dinezo prints over USB, serial, Bluetooth, LAN, or the Windows print spooler — whatever you already have. See the Windows Installation Guide for step-by-step printer setup. If you haven't connected a printer yet, Dinezo will show a full print preview and generate a PDF instead, so you can keep taking orders in the meantime.

6. Take your first order

  1. Start a new order — dine-in (pick a table), takeaway, or let a customer order via QR self-order
  2. Add items from the menu, adjusting quantity as needed
  3. Send the order to the kitchen — a kitchen order ticket (KOT) prints with no pricing, just what to prepare
  4. When the table is ready to pay, open Checkout — apply a discount or service charge if needed
  5. Choose a payment method (or split across several), confirm the amount, and complete the order
  6. Print the receipt, or send it straight to the customer over WhatsApp

7. After your trial ends

Your account automatically moves to the free plan. Menu items and active orders stay unlimited — you're only capped at 50 completed checkouts per calendar month. If you need more, Premium (₹149/month) removes that cap entirely. See Support for billing questions.
