Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This policy explains what data Dinezo ("we", "us") collects when you use the Dinezo restaurant management app, and how it's stored and used. It applies to the Windows and Android apps and to https://dinezo.business.
What we collect
When you create a Dinezo account, we collect:
- Business details: restaurant name, phone number, email address, and address
- Optional business details: GSTIN, FSSAI license number, and helpline number
- Account credentials, verified via a one-time code sent by email or WhatsApp
Your business logo, if you add one, is stored locally on your device and used for printed and shared receipts — it is not uploaded to our servers.
Orders, menu items, tables, and day-to-day billing data are stored locally on your device first. Only account, subscription, and usage information (such as your monthly checkout count) is sent to our servers, so Dinezo keeps working even without an internet connection.
Customer receipt data
If you choose to send a customer a receipt over WhatsApp, that customer's phone number is shared with our WhatsApp messaging provider solely to deliver that message. We do not build customer profiles or use this data for marketing.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay or Google Play Billing, depending on how you subscribe. Dinezo does not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank account details — those are handled directly by the payment provider.
Backup and sync
Backups are optional and go to your own Google Drive account, encrypted with a passphrase that only you set. We cannot read or recover this data — if you lose your passphrase, the backup cannot be decrypted by us or anyone else.
Crash and error reporting
We use a third-party crash-reporting service to detect and fix bugs. This may include technical diagnostic data (device type, app version, and the error itself), and does not intentionally include your business or customer data.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your account data, or request that it be deleted, by contacting us at support@dinezo.business. Deleting your account removes your business details from our servers; locally stored data remains on your device until you remove it yourself.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
